SketchUp Free version ↗ Used throughout the envelope and volume calculation tutorials. The free browser-based version covers everything you need.

Adobe Acrobat or PDF Reader with Measurement Tools For taking measurements directly from digital drawings — useful when working from architectural PDFs before building a SketchUp model.

Excel or Spreadsheet Software For organising and calculating envelope areas and test data. Google Sheets, LibreOffice Calc, or Numbers all work.
